Sugaring Begins on the Hill Farms
Sap running early; buckets out on the roadside maples
By Maggie Thorne
The sap started running on the hill farms this week, a little early by most accounts, and the buckets are out on the roadside maples along the hill road.
The sugarhouses expect to boil by the first week of March. The Meeting House will hold its maple breakfast on Saturday, March 14.
