Regional High Opens Its Doors for the Year

Fresh paint in the science room, a new bell schedule, and the same front steps

Blackgrove Regional High opened for the year on Tuesday with the usual crowd on the front steps at a quarter to eight and the usual line at the office for locker combinations.

Principal Agnes Moore said enrollment is in line with last year. Over the summer Roads & Grounds regraded the student lot and a crew of parents painted the science room a pale green that Mrs. Moore describes as “calming, we hope.”

The bell schedule now gives ten minutes between morning classes instead of seven. “We found the seven minutes were mostly spent on the stairs,” Mrs. Moore said.

Thanks to the linemen

To the Editor: When the line to my house came down in a breeze last week, the Light & Water crew had it back up before my kettle had cooled. I want them to know it was noticed and appreciated.
