The Year
A Look Back at the Year in the Township
Bleachers, beans and a full set of certificates
By Maggie Thorne
It was, by the measure this paper uses, a good year in Blackgrove. The Sealer's certificates passed every instrument in all four quarters. The bleachers were painted. The Booster Club's practice jersey fund reached its goal. Light & Water finished painting the substation.
The Meeting House served a supper every Saturday from October to the Harvest Supper and ran out of pie only twice. The Blue-Gray Game was decided by a point, as the best ones are.
We thank our readers for their news, their letters and their patience with the typesetting, and we wish everyone a good new year.
