The Meeting House

Bean Supper Feeds 137; Brown Bread Gone by Half Past Six

Saturday's bean supper fed 137 people at the tables and sent another twenty-four orders out the side door, by the count of the kitchen committee. Twenty-two pies came in, and the last of the brown bread went at half past six.

Next Saturday's supper is chicken pie.

Tues., 8:40 a.m. Livestock on the county road. Owner notified. Animals returned.

Wed. Routine patrol. Nothing to report.

Thurs., 10:47 a.m. Tree limb in roadway, the county road. Removed with assistance of road crew.

Thurs., 11:36 a.m. Unattended leaf fire, the hill road. Owner located; fire put out.

Fri., 7:42 a.m. Found property, a pair of work gloves, the Meeting House steps. Held at the office.

Sat. Routine patrol. Nothing to report.

Sun., Oct. 4, 10 a.m. — Sunday Gathering. All welcome. Coffee hour follows in the vestry.

Wed., Oct. 7, 7 p.m. — Choir rehearsal, Meeting House.

Sat., Oct. 10, 5:30 p.m. — Chicken Pie Supper, Meeting House vestry. Adults $12, under 12 $5. Takeout at the side door.

ROASTING PAN, very large, used once a year. Ask at the Diner.

CHEST FREEZER, works fine, too big for us now.
