Halloween Passes Quietly on Main Street

Trick-or-treat came and went on Friday evening under a cool, clear sky. The General Store reports giving out eleven pounds of candy corn, which it believes is a record, and the Meeting House steps held more carved pumpkins than anyone could remember.

The Marshals Service reports one call for pumpkins in the roadway on Main Street, which were moved to the sidewalk, where most of them were the next morning.
